Well Crafted Pizza is a wood fired mobile pizza kitchen and caterer founded on the beliefs and core values of community, connection, and food. Our locally inspired menu of creative & traditional pizzas, and wood fired farm fresh sides is served from our vintage 1949 Dodge pizza truck. Join us at an upcoming event or HIRE US to cater your next party, gathering, or wedding.
The truck is fitted with everything needed to roll up, set up, and serve your guests. We house ample refrigeration, 4 reclaimed barn wood tables, a 3 bay sink, and a generator. We provide all serve ware, and of course, the amazing wood fired pizza.
All we need is a place to park! We arrive, and within an hour, are set up and ready to serve. As we fire up the oven, we set up our custom reclaimed wood tables where we prep and serve the wood fired pizza, appetizers, and desserts.
Our pizza starts with well crafted hand made dough and is topped with the best locally sourced seasonal ingredients Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic has to offer. Additional toppings and flavors are sourced from socially conscious farms in the United States.
We are here to help you plan your perfect party or event. Check out these examples below for some inspiration and sample menus!

Both! We are a caterer first and food truck second. Generally, our weekends are filled with private catering events but we have a regular location at Baltimore's 32nd Street Farmers Market in the Waverly Neighborhood every Saturday morning from 7am until noon. We also have regular events at local wineries, breweries, and popups at various restuarants and locations throughout Baltimore. However, because of the way we are licensed, you won't see us on the side of the street downtown during lunch. Want to come try our pizza? Check out our full event schedule.
Due to our busy catering schedule, we are only able to participate in a limited number of public sale events per year. We carefully select these events based on distance to the event, expected number of guests, time/day of the week, and where we see ourselves as a good fit. Because our truck is a refurbished 1949 Dodge, we try to limit the distance we drive to within a 30 minute drive of Baltimore City to keep it running in tip top shape. Also, because of the effort needed to prep our locally sourced ingredients, drive to the event location, setup, fire up our oven, pay our staff, etc, we usually select events with an expected minimum of 100 sales.
Tom currently holds the team record at 19 feet. Although we didn't have a tape measure at the time so it could have actually been even higher.
We regularly cater events in Baltimore City, Sparks, Owings Mills, Reisterstown, Annapolis, and Westminster. There is no additional travel fee within and directly around Baltimore City. Transportation costs for locations outside the city vary from $250 to $650+ depending on the exact location. Check out our transportation cost map for a better idea of pricing.
Although Ryan makes it look easy, driving a 1949 truck without power steering is actually pretty difficult. The truck's top speed is only about 50 mph, which limits us to backroads and non highways. Also, maintaing a 1949 truck and keeping it running is no easy feat! Parts are hard to come by, so we try to limit the wear and tear on the truck by limiting the number of miles it's driven. Because of these reasons, we will often tow our truck to your event. We simply pass that cost on to you from our tow truck driver.
Yes! We've partnered with Union Craft Brewing to open Well Crafted Kitchen as part of their new taproom at Union Collective. We should be open in the Summer of 2018. Learn more at our new site: www.wellcraftedkitchen.com
Our pricing starts at $30/person for weddings and bat/bar mitzvahs with a $2000 event minimum and $28/person with a $1500 event minimum for all other events.
Our pricing includes wood fired pizza service for up to 3 hours made onsite in front of your guests from our 1949 mobile pizza kitchen, wood fired focaccia bread, seasonal salad, carefully sourced ingredients from Maryland and the surrounding region, environmentally friendly compostable serveware, and staff to prepare, cook, and serve buffet style. Beverages, appetizers, additional pizza varities, and family style/plated dinner service can be added at additional cost.
At a minimum, we need two weeks notice to cater your event. But the sooner the better. We reguarly book events, such as weddings, 1 year in advance.
We have over 40 pizzas currently on our full catering menu. At public events and the 32nd Street Farmers Market, we usually have between 4 - 5 pizzas available for customers to choose from. Because we source everything locally, availability depends on the time of year and what's currently being harvested by our farmers. Contact us to request our full catering menu and to see what's currently in season.
Not at this time. Due to the outdoor conditions of our truck and dough being cooked in our oven, we cannot guarantee anything served is gluten free. If you or a guest are gluten intolerant, or have other dietary restrictions, please contact us to discuss options for how we can accomondate your catering needs.
Absolutely! We'd love to have you join us at any of our currently scheduled public events. Please let us know ahead of time that you will be coming so we can plan appropriately!
